Founded in 1965, Boston-based Charles River Associates (CRA) offers economics, finance, and business consulting services to law firms, corporate clients, and government agencies in the United States and around the world. CRA operates through two divisions: a litigation and regulation group that provides economic and financial analysis, expert testimony, and related support to clients involved in regulatory or legal proceedings; and a business consulting group that offers services in microeconomics, IT, market analysis, and business strategy. CRA also assists clients in antitrust matters, competitor analysis, securities, and intellectual property. In March 2004, CRA announced that it had reached an agreement to acquire intellectual property consulting firm InteCap, Inc. for $81.7 million.
