Ceridian offers a comprehensive array of human resources and financial management services and is one of the nation’s largest human resources (HR) outsourcing providers. Its larger operating division, Human Resource Solutions, generates about 75 percent of the company’s revenue, and provides payroll, tax filing, benefits administration, and employee services in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Ceridian’s Comdata division processes payments and issues credit cards, debit cards, and stored value cards for the transportation and retail industries. Its BusinessLink combination debit and credit card allows businesses to control employee expenditures and payments. And the Comdata Stored Value Systems unit issues the popular cash cards that retailers can make available for gift purchases, merchandise returns, and store promotions. Ceridian serves small businesses with Powerpay.com. Launched in 1998, this Web-based HR application offers payroll, benefits, HR management, and time and attendance tracking. In 2006, the company purchased Leade Health which offers weight and stress management programs for government and corporate health plans.
