Company Overview
Elcom International, which was founded in 1992, develops and licenses its PECOS (Professional Electronic Commerce Online System) software to serve the needs of the e-commerce community. It creates and markets proprietary technology that allows companies to automate procurement functions that include pricing, invoicing, and payment. It also offers applications that manage the order cycle and rapid requisitions. With Elcom software, users can conduct online transactions with both suppliers and distributors. Originally in the business of reselling IT products, Elcom sold its U.K.-based IT products operations in 2001. It then sold the majority of its U.S.-based operations to ePlus Technology in 2002. In April 2006, the company saw the departure of four of the six directors on its board. Elcom common stock was delisted by the NASDAQ National Market effective January 16, 2003 as the company did not meet the minimum bid requirements for continued listing on the NASDAQ SmallCap Market. It kept “ELCO” as its ticker symbol and now trades on NASDAQ’s Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB).
