HealthPartners is a nonprofit network providing health care services, insurance, and HMO coverage to some 630,000 Minnesotans. It has a staff of about 9,600 in about 50 locations. The network includes HealthPartners Medical Clinics, the HealthPartners Specialty Center (which includes 150 doctors in a range of specialties), Regions Hospital (a 427-bed facility), and HealthPartners Dental Clinics. HealthPartners also has a research foundation, which funds about 250 medical research projects, and runs HealthPartners Institute for Medical Education, which has 16 residency programs and more than 240 continuing-education programs for doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals.
