Company Overview
Highlights
Even though they're legally separate entities, McGladrey & Pullen and RSM McGladrey (created when McGladrey & Pullen sold its non-attest assets to H&R Block) work closely together and share the same office building.
Scholarships are available from the firm at a variety of colleges and universities in the United States, typically through the schools’ departments of accounting.
Founded in 1926, McGladrey & Pullen has more than 100 offices across the United States, providing accounting and audit services primarily to owner-managed middle-market clients in industries including financial services, government and nonprofit, health care, manufacturing and distribution, hospitality, and construction. McGladrey & Pullen is an independent member of RSM International, the sixth-largest worldwide accounting and consulting organization. McGladrey & Pullen is allied with RSM McGladrey, a consulting firm owned by H&R Block, and together they offer clients an array of business-advice services. In 2004 the firm grew by acquiring the audit and attest assets of Illinois-based BDO Seidman LLP, and in 2006 it acquired the attest practice of Indiana-based Stauffer & Co. In many of its locations, the firm offers internships during the busy season in tax or auditing, and in some instances, a combination of the two. Depending on specific office needs, there are occasional opportunities for summer internships. For some students, the firm offers a fast-track accounting program, in which McGladrey pays for schooling in return for a three-year work commitment.
