It is a leading provider of cable telephony solutions in Europe, and one of the top three globally; a leader digital cross-connect provider in the U.S.; and a world leader in voice quality enhancement solutions. Tellabs makes more than one third of its sales to regional Bell companies, and counts AT&T and Verizon among its biggest customers. And while the company remains a billion-dollar organization, it has hemorrhaged jobs.
