Highlights
Owned by an investment consortium including DLJ Merchant Banking Partners and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. Maker of Super Bowl rings.
Visant Corporation was formed by the 2004 merger of Jostens, Von Hoffman, and Arcade. Its businesses are divided into the Jostens subsidiary (the maker of class rings that was founded in 1897) and the Print Group, which comprises Von Hoffman/Lehigh Lithographers (print services), Arcade (a marketing firm focused on scent sampling technology), and Lehigh Direct, a direct marketing company. In addition to class rings, Jostens provides school photography services, and makes yearbooks, other graduation-related products such as caps, gowns, and diplomas, and sports-related rings.
In 2008, Visant completed the acquisition of Phoenix Color Corp., a leading book component provider that services the trade, professional reference and educational publishing segments.
